Industria azucarera, México, productores de caña de azñucar, ingenios
Abstract
En el presente artículo se estudia la evolución histórica dela industria azucarera en México y Venezuela a partir deuna perspectiva comparada. El análisis se ha enfocadoen el desempeño de dicha industria en ambos países, en elcontexto del desarrollo de este sector económico desde laetapa colonial hasta la actualidad. Asimismo, se enfatiza elpapel desempeñado por el Estado y el sector privado; lastendencias de la producción nacional, las importaciones yexportaciones; las políticas azucareras; los programas paraincentivar eficiencia y productividad y los rasgos generalesdel proceso productivo.
