INDUSTRIA TEXTIL Y DEL VESTIDO EN EL OCCIDENTE DE MEXICO
Abstract
La industria textil y del vestido en México es una de las ramas manufactureras de más abolengo; se caracteriza porque la mayor parte de su producción es de bienes de uso final con gran contenido de valor agregado debido al uso intensivo de mano de obra. A nivel nacional para 1989, la producción de fibras, telas y confección de prendas representó el 2.5 por ciento del producto interno bruto y el 11.2 por ciento de la industria manufacturera; esta situación fue menos satisfactoria que la de tres años atrás, puesto que para 1986 la participación era de 3.0 y 12.8 por ciento respectivamente, lo cual manifiesta que la crisis en la industria textil y de la confección fue mayor que en todo el sector manufacturero.References
